I’m pretty sure the phrase you were looking for was “in heat,” not “in fire.”

I suggest you find yourself some proofreaders with at least a basic knowledge of English idioms.

dogs, and most animals for that matter, don’t get in “fire” they get in “heat” when it is time to mate.

Hey, I know I shouldn’t feed trolls but the translations are done by a different people… I won’t argue against you saying I fail because I probably do, but you can’t say that for every translator that translates for us. Please don’t say bad things about him/her, I think he did a good job. Admonish me as much as you want but don’t take it out on other people as well please.

        April 27, 2012 at 15:24 #

I didn’t attack the translator (well not directly) this time.
A proofreader is supposed to fix wrong proverbs and “flow”.
That what I was dissing this time, because last time you guys were all so proud about your great proofreading work.

You used up all your mistakes of a universe with that utterly crap release of Sai ch0.
Proofreading, cleaning and typesetting was horrible.
I’m not saying anything about the TL because it was external.

Just wondering, what happened to the 3 post rule? lol

I was curious too, last time you admitted to trolling us

Urban Dictionary Definition: “Trolling is trying to get a rise out of someone. Forcing them to respond to you, either through wise-crackery, posting incorrect information, asking blatantly stupid questions, or other foolishness. However, trolling statements are never true or are ever meant to be construed as such. Nearly all trolled statements are meant to be funny to some people, so it does have some social/entertainment value.”

          - note the “trolling statements are never true” part

So either 1, you admit to “trolling” us (aka all your information you gave was false) or 2, you, like the PR made a mistake in wording once in your life. You may complain that you are not a PR but no, PROzess is perfect, with perfect grammar and perfect flow, therefore PROzess should be as good as any PR.

Prozess, my my, seriously? It was a proofreading mistake, not a translation error. Go away and actually check this stuff out before accusing people and besides the mistake was fixed. Did you actually even get to see it? I doubt it.

        April 27, 2012 at 15:23 #

You were boasting about your “Great flow” before. Which is technically the job of the proofreader. And now a proofreader fault…. Seriously….
I didn’t even read the chapter.
After your serious mess up on various points of the prelude chapter, I gave up all hope that you guys might be a “decent scanlator”.

When did I say that, and to stop the spam, i’ll answer both your comments in one. 1) So your PERFECT (which isn’t by the way it’s way below perfect) English, is so good that there’s no mistakes when you translate? If you check over Pajama for example both translations are correct, they just use different ENGLISH to describe the same “thing”. In English there’s a ton of ways to describe the sentence you want to say. 2) You ain’t perfect Prozess, even your releases have typesetting and cleaning mistakes, so please don’t comment on ours saying “it’s not perfect” Or something similar until you get rid of all your mistakes in yours. Before you go “Point them out” I’ll do what you say “Go and find them yourself” 3) Now you are just trolling us. I did say I’d delete your comments if they where to provoke a reaction which the last 2 have, but i’ll be generous and allow. Now I’m sure you love getting hate and all, and love to comment on others prozess. But you are nowhere near this perfect person you are trying to let out, commenting on others and just posting to get a bigger e-penis is just annoying. Prozess, I’ll give you some advice to stop getting hate. Make your comments CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM not full out flames and hate. If you can’t handle that, please do not comment on our site again, we do not care about 1 persons views, nor do we care about trying to be perfect, we do this for “fun” and in our spare time like many, there will be mistakes, and every so often they will come out more than other weeks. Nothing we can do except change them. We are still new, everyone in the group almost is new to scanlation.

Here’s a line from the front of your mangahelpers page.

“We, the Oni Tribe… gets always challenged by monsters or enemies in the Demon Realm.”

Gets always challenged? Lol, kid, you’re shit at creating “flow.” Here, I’ll fix it for you.

[We as the Oni Tribe...always gets challenged by monsters and other enemies in the Demon Realm.]

      Here’s another just for kicks:

“And her names is quite well-known in the Demon Realm.”

      Should be “name” not “names.”

        April 27, 2012 at 21:46 #

Dude, you’re attacking the wrong person here. I’m pointing out that PROzess does the same shit, and yet it still calling you out on it.

          I’m calling him a hypocrite.

In terms of translations, I translated Sai Takers myself as I read the raw a few weeks ago, and it’s basically the same as yours. I think PROzess is getting to you if you’re attacking even me now. Think rationally.

      • Ravin
        April 27, 2012 at 22:56 #

        First can be:
We, the Oni Tribe…always get challenged by monsters and other enemies in the Demon Realm.

So if you try correcting something please correct it right. And no wise cracks meant.

For the 2nd one the word names should have been name.

        • Kaeden
          April 28, 2012 at 00:59 #

          ?

I corrected it just fine. There are obviously going to be different ways you can word it (in terms of creating flow) depending on how you approach it.

However, the point was that he said “…gets always challenged,” when it should obviously be “…always gets challenged”. It’s both a grammatical and flow error, which is what PROzess has been calling the 13thhour crew out on. Get it?

In other news, you people sure are ridiculous. I thought I would back up the 13thhour crew here since you’ve been getting bashed on by some faggot, but instead I start getting bashed on by you guys in return.

Thanks, I totally feel the love.

Sorry, Kaeden, thanks for the comment. Though I can’t say PROzess does much else, he is a very successful troll, I give him that. Our members are probably too annoyed at PROzess to calm down and realise you are commenting on his work. Please don’t blame them :(

Now that’s what I call a successful Troll

      • PROzess
        April 28, 2012 at 12:12 #

I never claimed to have perfect english. Just a perfect translation.
It’s the proofreader’s job to make it “flow”.
A translator just gives the proofreader a guideline to work with.

        and @OverRide,
sure, you can express translation in various ways.
But if you translate “Konnichiha” as “A good day to you, dear Sir” instead of “Hello/Hi”, then it’s just wrong.
Just because the meaning is the same (a greeting) doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s a correct translation.

        As for Puri,
my point of being a troll is, that I myself actually don’t give a fuck about you, the release or the rest in the world. I just find it amusing pointing out your mistakes and everyone gets so heated about it.

        • Ravin
          April 28, 2012 at 15:32 #

Prozess by saying you have perfect translations you are saying you have the translations translated into prefect English. If you need a proofreader to correct most of you line it is not perfect. The term perfect means no mistakes, fully correct. It doesn’t mean good flow. And also most of the english language there are many ways to say the same thing, as long as it gets the same meaning across most people would be good. But you must keep certain greetings as they are. And another thing about my mistake, everyone is human so they make hundreds of mistakes in their lives so just leave since nobody is perfect or for the most part better than anyone else except in a few things. So stop trolling and leave here already.

I could have added around 10 or so curses in but I don’t feel like wasting my energy on you since you aren’t really worth it.

        • puri
          April 28, 2012 at 17:26 #

Um, you may not “give a fuck” about me, but why don’t I remember you ever “pointing out” my mistakes? Calling someone “fail” is an attack on the person last time I checked and NOT “pointing out” a mistake. Mind enlightening the foolish and ignorant me where in your deep comments have you EVER pointed out a mistake?

Going back the the definition of “troll”, the way you use it is obviously not what it is defined as Mr Perfect :)

        • puri
          April 28, 2012 at 17:44 #

Just curious, so between using a translation with the same meaning that you consider “wrong” and say for example, someone translates “I like red” to “I like blue”, which would you consider a bigger mistake? And, for that translator who translated “red” to “blue” (or for translators who translate a word completely wrong), would you consider them fail?

          • PROzess
            April 29, 2012 at 16:11 #

Your translation had both, wrongly translated word and wrong choice of words.
But to come back to your question, I would consider a wrong translated word to be the “bigger” mistake.

Like I said before: Translating “konnichiha” as “A good day to you sir” might be still in the meaning of a greeting, but it nevertheless a “wrong” translation.
A different “wrong” from translating red as blue, but still wrong.

            As for Ravin,
your argument might be right, if you see the term “translation” as the generic term for the final result.
Meaning what you read in the end.
But I was referring to the process of “translating” which is converting the japanese into an UNDERSTANDABLE english, not a perfect english. Why do you think editors exits?
Therefore in that aspect, my translation is perfect. Ofc there are other ways to express certain stuff, but that just means there are various “perfect” translations. I’m just referring to a correct and context-fitting translating of the japanese.

Er….not to be a random commenter (okay, I am) but were you planning on posting this on Batoto or whatnot?

        Understandable.

On another note, doubt it’d help much, but if you know anyone that generally knows Javascript/JQuery, I think this is the link to the mangafox crawler…seems like it uses Coffeescript (compiles into Javascript which is then injected into the HTML)

        https://github.com/pmjpmj/mangafox-crawler

Either way, I totally respect the things you have to do to keep your content yours, so no worries, no hurry here (:
